Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The manuscript has not been previously published, and is not under consideration for publication in another journal (or as explained in Comments to the Editor).
  • Manuscript files in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document format.
  • References that can be accessed online have their URLs written down.
  • Manuscripts are typed in single-spaced text; 12-point font; use italics, not underlined letters (except for URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed in the text in the expected place, not grouped separately at the end of the manuscript.
  • The manuscript follows the style and bibliographic rules required in the Author Guidelines.

Article Writing Guidelines

Manuscripts that meet the writing guidelines of the Journal of Computer Technology and Systems (in MS Word or Openoffice Writer format) must be submitted using the Online Submission System on the E-Journal portal (http://e-jurnal.stiaalazka.ac.id/index.php/ojs-hipotesa) after registering as an Author in the "Register" section. The procedure for submitting manuscripts online can be seen at the end of these instructions.

Every article submitted to the editorial office of the Journal of Technology and Computer Systems is free of charge (free - no page charge) including free article processing fees. Publication costs are borne by the publisher of this journal.

General Instructions

Every manuscript submitted to the editorial office of Hipotesa must follow these writing instructions. If the article does not comply with these guidelines, the manuscript will be returned before being reviewed further.

The general provisions for writing manuscripts for the Hipotesa Journal are as follows:

Manuscripts can be written in Indonesian or English;

Manuscripts are written with correct spelling, sentence structure and paragraph structure in accordance with the grammar used;
Manuscripts must be written in A4 (210 x 297 mm) writing area and with a left margin format of 25 mm, right margin of 20 mm, bottom margin of 20 mm, and top margin of 30 mm;
Manuscripts must be written using the provided manuscript template.
The title of the article is written in Times New Roman font with a font size of 14 pt, bold and centered and using title case.
If the manuscript is written in Indonesian, use Indonesian equivalents for foreign words or terms. If not found, foreign terms are written in italics.
The writing of chapters in the contents of the manuscript (Introduction, Research Methods, Results and Discussion, and Conclusions) must be numbered sequentially in Roman numeral format starting from number one. The chapter title is written in bold with Title Case format and arranged centered without underlining. Sub-chapters are written in bold with sentence case format and arranged left aligned and use level one numbering format using capital letter format starting from A. The use of sub-chapters should be minimized.
Figures and tables are placed so that their position is at the top of the page;
Each figure must be guaranteed to be printed clearly (font size, resolution and line size must be clearly printed);
Each figure must be given a figure caption below the figure and numbered sequentially in Arabic numerals followed by the figure title, as shown in Figure 1;
Each table must be given a table caption and numbered sequentially in Arabic numerals above the table followed by the table title, as shown in Table 1;
Tables must not contain vertical lines, while horizontal lines are only given in the table heading and below the table.
Figures and tables and diagrams/schemes should be placed according to the column between groups of text or if they are too large, placed in the middle of the page (one column); Manuscripts must adhere to the correct use of SI (International System of Units) and the basic principles of quantity and units
Each equation is written in the center of the column and given a number written in brackets and placed at the end of the right margin. Equations must be written using the Equation Editor in MS Word or Open Office. Equations are not allowed to be pasted into the manuscript as images;
References or citations are written in the description/text in accordance with the IEEE format (numbering). The number for each reference item is written in square brackets, for example [1]. Several references can be written in separate square brackets, for example [2], [4], [5], [7]-[9].
Mentioning the name of the reference author is done by writing the author's last name and mentioning the reference number, for example as stated in Widianto [2], Widianto and Rochim [3] and by Widianto et al. [4];
Reference management applications, such as Mendeley, Zotero or Endnote, should be used by authors when inserting references or creating bibliographies in manuscripts.
Special Instructions

The written manuscript must consist of the following scientific article components (subtitles-in order), namely:

Article Title: The title of the manuscript must be written briefly and clearly, and must indicate the exact results of the research that has been carried out, not providing opportunities and diverse interpretations. The title of the article must not contain abbreviations
